Psalm 23
The lord is my shepherd
I have everything I need
He lets me rest in green meadows
He leads me beside peaceful streams
He renews my strength
He guides me along right paths
Bringing honor to his name
Even when I walk
Through the dark valley of death
I will not be afraid
For you are close beside me
Your rod and your staff
Protect and comfort me
You prepare a feast for me
In the presence of my enemies
You welcome me as a guest
Anointing my head with oil
My cup overflows with blessings
Surely your goodness and unfailing love
Will peruse me all the days of my life
And I will live in the house of the Lord
FOREVER
I AM FREE
Don’t grieve for me, for now I am free
I’m following the path God has laid for me
I took his hand, when I heard him call
I turned my back and left it all
I could not stay another day, to laugh,
To love, to work or play
Task undone must stay that way
I’ve found that peace at the close of the day
If parting has left in you a void, then fill it
With remembered joy
A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss,
Ah, yes, these things I too will miss
Be not burdened with times of sorrow
I wish for you the sunshine of tomorrow
My life’s been full, I savored much
Good friends, good times, a loved one’s touch
Perhaps my time seemed all to brief
Don’t lengthen it now with undue grief
Lift up your hearts and share with me,
God wants me now, He set me Free.
